81mg of aspirin/day does not substantially raise your risk for gastritis, but that daily dose is meant to inhibit platelet function. Platelets are required to form clot and stop bleeding. At 37 years old, unless you have an unusual genetic predisposition for coronary artery disease or a history of abnormal clot formation, the risk of bleeding from unexpected trauma anywhere outweighs any benefit
