70% of adults have some degree of hypertension. Your goal should be 130/80 or lower regardless of age. If you can't achieve that goal by salt restriction,maintaining ideal weight, regular exercise, moderation in alcohol& caffeine intake,good sleep,less stress, then your MD will prescribe proper medication as you can't rely on foods or supplements to do the job. A daily glass of wine is OK.
