WINE WITH HIGH BP: A glass of red wine every day will not have any negative effect on your bp, or for that matter on your health as long as you do not have any liver disease and on other meds which can be toxic to the liver and you limit your intake of red wine to not more then 12 oz of red wine.So enjoy it but do not over do it.

Wine is good: Alcohol in moderation is a vasodilator (will lower bp) and a relaxant (lowers bp) and has been shown repeatedly to be associated with a lower risk of heart attack. Obviously all bets are off for anyone who has difficulty self-regulating the amount they're drinking. But a glass with dinner? Bon appétit!
