Is it tropical steroid withdrawal ? i was giving betamethasone dip aug 0.05 ointment for an allergic reaction on my fingers from nails gel polish . but after 9 days symptoms clear. but when i stop it using my fingers are hurting me ?

Had you been plastering your fingers with excessive amounts of topical corticosteroids? There would be some systemic effect but I doubt it would be enough to suppress arthritis symptoms, however. If it did, theoretically arthritis would rebound upon discontinuation of large amounts of the ointment. I would look for other reasons for your painful fingers however. ?overuse of fingers
