How long should donation spot be sore after giving blood??? it's been a day?

Occasionally the needle will encounter a nerve ending that supplies pain fibers to the vein. Injury of those fibers can cause an ache/ pain that will gradually subside as it self-heals over a few days. A cool compress can reduce any itching or pain at the site.

If there is no swelling or bruise, a day is not too long for the site to be sore. Give it time. If you see redness or swelling at the site, contact the blood bank. Thank you for donating blood.
