Although I'm not keen about dental xrays in young children, I hope I can reassure you about this, but don't obsess about the trivial amount of xray exposure during your dental examination. We get many times more exposure from background sources each year.

As a dentist i can assure you with todays limited exposure film or digital x-rays, radiation is minimal. You may have been anxious or been on some medication that caused this. No over exposure, or cancer concerns. You get more exposure in a TSA screening in an airport.

Coincidental. X-ray was NOT causative. If the amount of radiation that's required to cause any harm is the size of a 55 gallon drum, the amount you had equates to 1 mist droplet. Chances of cancer from one dental x-ray is non-existent. Chances of overexposure from dental x-ray equipment is impossible. The equipment isn't capable. No, not possible. See General Physician to be evaluated for virus.
