I am 10 weeks and have hypermesis gravadeium and was given zofran 4mg at 8 weeks. there are conflicting studies about birth defects. should i discontinue or be worried? (i tried everything else first, unisom/b6, promethazine, reglan,natural remedies?

Zofran has been issued a category B rating, meaning it has not been tied to any risk of birth defects during pregnancy. Category A is the safest, with long term data. All such medications should be limited to use only when needed and coordinated with your doc.
