A member asked:

Is fasciculations normal? 37 male always has them from day to day different parts of the body for couple seconds. when is it serious to check it out with a doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Migratory and fluctuating fasciculations are almost certainly benign but may be due to a variety of metabolic imbalances, and this could be addressed via a standard complete physical exam with appropriate blood tests. Not feasible, based upon your posted information to be more precise. This does not sound like a serious neuromuscular disorder, at this point.
