A member asked:

Can you be pregnant if you had sexual intercourse protected (condom) and your period came on time, and you weren't on ovulation(like it was on a low chance of pregnancy) ?

Your menstrual period is the shedding of your uterine lining when fertilization and implantation has not occurred. If you had a regular period, you're not pregnant.

Under these circumstances, pregnancy is unlikely. If you are concerned, take a home pregnancy test- these are positive as soon as the first day of a missed period. If you are concerned about ongoing sexual encounters and the possibility of pregnancy, talk to your Dr about starting oral or injected contraceptives along with the condom. It will bring your chance of getting pregnant to virtually zero
