Plan B, sometimes referred to as the “morning after pill,” contains a high level of hormones that interfere with ovulation or the implantation of a fertilized embryo. It should not be used regularly as the levonorgestrel can have significant side effects: nausea, abdominal pain, cramps, fatigue, headache, irregular bleeding, breast pain. As the hormones leave your body, the effects go away.
