A member asked:

I have siadh &so need a low fluid high salt diet. i track my micro/macronutrients&i noticed that i keep coming up short on potassium at 2700 mg +/- a day. should i be concerned about my potassium levels due to a potential salt to potassium ratio?

No, your kidneys can retain potassium effectively if blood potassium is low. Intake of 2 gm of potassium a day is fine.
