Can high bun/creatinine ratio (53, 2.0) in absence of gi bleeding mean dehydration if sodium and chloride is slightly lower than normal range and potassium is slightly elevated? patient has diabetes, anemia, chf and on fluid restriction.

Mgt: Your heart condition may be affecting your kidneys. The electrolytes may also indicate fluid retention secondary to your heart condition. I would suggest a urine analysis and evaluation of your cardiac condition. Is your diabetes under treatment?
