A member asked:

A family member is currently undergoing targeted therapy for cancer. i've read therapy-related thrombocytopenia can be treated with platelet transfusions and injections such as neupogen. how exactly do the injections work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nupogen is one of the drugs than can stimulate the bone marrow to produce platelets as well other cells formed in the bone marrow, e.g. red and white cells.
