Recently hospitalized for 2 days and given 2 antibiotics through iv for the 2 days. discharged 4 days ago. have been having diarrhea/loose stools about 1-3 times a day now since discharged. is that normal when given iv antibiotics? what can help?

Diarrhea is not normal. It would be prudent to contact the doctor who prescribed the antibiotics to ascertain if you need to be tested for C diff infection which can happen due to antibiotic treatment. Antibiotic induced diarrhea is common and it should be self limited, unless more serious colitis settles in. Probiotics, yoghurt or kefir may help in healing and colonizing the colon with healthy bacteria.
