You say you "hit" your vein. Do you mean a needle injection, or did you lacerate your arm? The bleeding should stop after applying direct pressure for 10 minutes. Then clean the wound with soap and water, rinse thoroughly, pat dry, and apply a clean bandage. See a doctor if you develop redness, pus, swelling, or fever the next day. You need a tetanus shot if the last one's been more than 5 years.
