scratching my arms to the point of them turning red/blotchy/peeling. not suicidal, i want to stop because it hurts, but i can't (ocd). can an er offer help for compulsion if so, what can i expect?

Yes: Besides treating the itching/skin problem caused by the OCD, the underlying cause (OCD) should be appropriately diagnosed and medically treated by a health professional. ER can provide temporary relief but long term visits and follow-up are a better option
