I've had pretty serious arm pain from my covid booster since thursday. is there something i can do to help it pass faster? yay for a good immune response, i guess?

Pain from a COVID-19 booster for Moderna or Pfizer vaccine should be transient and only persist for 10-12 hours. On occasion, the needle inserted into the muscle in the upper arm may hit a nerve and the resulting inflammation will persist for sometimes several days before resolution.

If you got the covid vaccine(both shots) but no booster does that mean that you are not protected because it waned? So, It would be like not never getting the vaccine in the first place. The booster is just the same thing trigger an immune response?
If I had COVID prior to getting my booster shot, would that affect the strength of my immune response? Should I expect to be down and out for several days? Or would my immune response be weaker bc my body has already been exposed?
