Whenever i even slightly put down the heel on my left foot the pain feels like it's being stabbed but there's still nothing visually wrong. i'm elevating it and icing but i'm seeing no progress?

I assume there has been no heel, foot trauma or overuse. If not,this is a classic presentation of plantar fasciitis. I feel the best care & follow-up for this prolonged,painful condition is administered by a podiatrist.
