Just compress the site well until the bleeding stops. Etiology of the bleeding needs to be taken care of for avoiding recurrence. Risk of stopping blood thinner may outweigh the risk of occasional bleeding. You only hold blood thinner if bleeding can't be stopped with local care. If bleeding stops, visit your doc next day for evaluation. If bleeding seems persisted, see doc at an urgent care.
