A member asked:

If you take paxlovid for covid do you still build antibodies that will protect you from another covid infection.. thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The action of the drug does diminish the intensity of the infection and as such can diminish the bodies full immune response. The volume of antibodies triggered can be less than letting the infection run its course. That said, even natural infection with strains of Covid have not prevented other emerging strains from causing a new infection within a year.
