Do pvcs come and go or would they be detected on an ekg / ultasound?

EKG is what they use to evaluate the rhythm of the heart, however if there is abnormality the ultrasound may be added to evaluate further. PVCs could be transient, however they have prolonged heart rhythm monitoring like Holter that may be used to evaluate intermittent abnormalities of heart rhythms.
