I had an upper r respiratory infection and just finished antibiotics. all my body is swollen. also my blood sugar is in mid 200 . am not on diabetic meds. sugar normally in normal range. what to do???

Please see your physician or urgent care right away. The swelling is concerning and a HbA1c test may be helpful. Watch for signs of shortness of breath or chest pain.

Sometimes individuals are borderline diabetic and in case of metabolic stress like infection will become hyperglycemic ( high sugar) and need medication to control their sugar which resolves when the infection is over. Get a HgbA1c fasting glucose when not ill and consider 2 hour glucose tolerance test as well. F/U/w/ endocrinologist.
