What kind of irreversible damage does gaining lots of fat do? i want to get rid of it & have high cholesterol. 16, female. will there be lasting damage? i read that excess weight lowers testosterone levels, as well as sexual pleasure. is this true?

Fatty liver is the first thing comes to my mind, not sex hormone or sex life. Fatty liver can lead to liver cirrhosis and liver cancer which are the worst outcomes, more than other lasting damage you are afraid of.

At your age there is no irreversible damage and it takes many years to develop what you fear. You seem like a sensible person and aware of the problem, so can control it with proper diet and exercise. You can do it! Good luck.
