Can diarrhea cause anal irritation? ive had mild diarrhea (once a day) for three days due to my ibs. i am experiencing some pain with defecation and general uncomfortable or itchy feeling down there. is that normal?

IBS with "diarrhea for three days" will cause irritation and pain in the anal area. Ask your GI physician about medication to arrest the diarrhea, and get a culture, as some bacterial GI infections need antibiotics.
