I just got through covid and im worried that using the same lip balm i had during recovery will cause reinfection. should i worry about something like that or no?

A viral infection like COVID is different from bacterial infections like strep where personal items may carry the germ and re-infect you. Even if the virus could survive in the balm, which is doubtful, once your body fights off the Covid strain you had, you cannot be re-infected by that same strain while your antibodies are present. I would not worry about it.

The COVID virus lasts a few hours or days on surfaces. The time line depends on factors such as temperature, sunlight and other environmental situations. Wipe lip balm with LYSOL if worried.
