Can covid-19 be contracted through any other openings besides the mouth and nose? if it can be contracted through the mouth and nose, why aren't the eyes susceptible?

COVID transmission: COVID 19 can most likely be transmitted via eyes. There is less transmission through eyes. Mucosal tissues which have ACE2 receptor (the key receptor for coronavirus) are the most likely to become infected. “The virus has been detected in tears and conjunctival swab specimens from individuals with COVID-19" per WebMD.com lung news.

Mainly respiratory: Although the main vector is via nose or mouth infecting lung secondary to droplets, it does not appear to invade via a gastrointestinal route. There is some evidence of cases occurring secondary to eye location, and this would be logical due to lacrimal susceptibility.
