I wouldn't worry about it. that far back we were using the oral polio vaccine which provides excellent lifetime protection. They switched to shots when a few cases of the oral vaccine triggered polio in immune deficient kids. The cases appear to have come from countries still using the oral vaccine, if any vaccines at all.
