I was born in 1978. i will assume i am fully vax my mom said she took me to get my shots and i went to a public school in va. with polio spreading in nyc, should i get another polio vax. i live in va but my husband travels for work. all 4 kids vax?

I wouldn't worry about it. that far back we were using the oral polio vaccine which provides excellent lifetime protection. They switched to shots when a few cases of the oral vaccine triggered polio in immune deficient kids. The cases appear to have come from countries still using the oral vaccine, if any vaccines at all.
