Your post does not provide adequate background for a reasoned analysis. A person can have PTB and have other systema affected by other complications. Stress of illness often triggers the body to secrete hormones that elevate baseline blood glucose; however, this may not be the reason for this in an individual case. These answers should be asked of the doc who knows all the history & findings.
