A member asked:

I was wondering do doctors put catheter in for a patient for finger pins in one finger. if so is there a way around it. and curious how long does it take to put pins in a fractured finger?

It is important that you are able to talk with your doctor when being evaluated and ask questions because then you would get better answers because they are more familiar with your situation. If you undergo major surgery with general anesthesia you are likely to have catheter for urination and unlikely to have blood vessels catheter unless special situation. Length of surgery depends on your case.
