My 2yo had what we thought was poison ivy. prior he had gunny eyes, not pink eye and after the same. he gets fevers ever 3-4 day and hives randomly every couple days not necessarily with the fever. for 3 day he had a swollen eye. what could it be?

Infection should be considered and treated as indicated. Please see urgent care or the emergency room at a children’s center. The fever and swollen eye may not be related to poison ivy, but rather to an infection. Monitor your child for facial swelling and difficulty moving the eye.
