That pathology report of upper endoscopic biopsy means the distal esophagus (the portion of the food pipe close to the stomach) has inflammation with some ulcers on the squamous mucosa (normal esophageal lining) and the grams stain for fungus will be reported in an addendum report which is not ready yet. Nothing to worry, fungal esophagitis is treatable if confirmed.
