Protein in your pee suggests a residual injury to your kidneys that can be aggravated by high blood pressure. If the meds are not controlling your blood pressure, tell your doc so other treatments can be tried. Otherwise, you are looking at permanent damage.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. It is imperative that you keep your blood pressure under control to prevent damage to you kidney, heart and other organs. You may need to take different medication. It is important to see your doctor at your earliest and discuss these issues with her/him. Wish you good health!
