I noticed a small dot mark on my chest. in 10 days it has grown to @ an inch,is raised, hard to the touch, very red and red around it. its extremely painful. it doesnt have a head. using warm compresses and heating pad. what else can i do?

Although you do not see the head or an entry mark, insect bite seems consistent with your description but a boil can't be ruled out. You have done the right thing, apply warm compress several times a day, take tylenol or advil for pain if needed. If the redness extends further and you have fever or chill, you should go to urgent care for the correct diagnosis because antibiotic may be required.
