How long could sperm survive outside the body if it remains moist and not dried for a long period of time? would it have to dry out before it can be presumed dead or would it still die even after maintaining its moisture for around 8-10 hours? thanks?

Still probably not more than a few minutes. But it doesn't matter: nobody EVER becomes pregnant (or catches STIs) by contact with semen in the environment, only by sex itself. Don't worry about it.
