A member asked:

What happens when you go to an appt with a low bmi (15.3-15.8)? usually no big deal? or red flag to investigate? no known health or period issues, no eating disorder. lost 20lbs in 1.5yrs accidentally but stable weight now for the last 5yrs?

For you a BMI under 18.5 would be considered too low. Do you approve.of your present weight.when you see yourself in a full length mirror? I recommend seeing a dietician at your local hospital for evaluation. Your ideal weight, recommended daily calorie intake depending.upon your physical activity status, & your current eating habits will be reviewed. Sample diets can be obtained.
