Do early degenerative hip cartilage changes show up differently for haemochromatotic arthritis due to excessive iron versus osteoarthritis due to perimenopausal hormone changes?

There is some overlap feature between hemochromatosis induced arthritis (osteoarthritis, osteoprososis and cartilage degeneration) and osteoporosis of estrogen deficiency but the latter is not directly associated with osteoarthritis or cartilage degeneration/calcification.

Common things are common& uncommon things are uncommon. Although you're rather young for wear& tear, mundane osteoarthritis of the hip is a much.more likely diagnosis in your case unless you have elevated serum iron, serum ferritin& serum transferrin saturation. Hemochromatosis.tends to show up later in females due to years of monthly blood loss. Hematologists often get involved in hemochromatosis
