Pressure on nerves could alter functionality. You now know it is a bad ideat to do what you did. It is difficult to predict how long it would last but it is important to just go about normal activities. I hope you do not have other disease like diabetes or heavy metal/mineral disorder that could also affect nerve function; if not just wait for the nerve to recover. Professional exam is an option.
