Is it "bad"? No. It means you have type 1 herpes simplex virus. So so half of all Americans. Most have no symptoms, and mostly the infection is orally (mouth, throat, etc) caught during childhood. Some cases are genital, but genital herpes due to HSV1 usually has few outbreaks and is rarely transmitted to partners. If you have future oral or genital blisters or sores, get checked at that time.
