This isn't rare. Some HPV infections are unexplained.

Please get checked yourself and discuss with your doctor. Also, you should consider HPV vaccination if you have not yet been vaccinated with the most recent HPV vaccine.

Non sexual transmission of HPV is possible when infected skin is in direct contact with broken or macerated skin. This is seen i children and young adults or workers who handle chicken, fish and meat .A viral wart from another person with contact to you, is possible.
