This is not normal but the reason this is happening would vary, depending on the age of the man. You should definitely see a doctor, perhaps a urologist, to determine why this is happening and to get it treated. There are many potential causes so see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment. No. Try emptying your bladder soon after the urge. If that does not hel;p then try emptying it every 3-4 hours with or without urge. Also cut down excessive use of soda, coffee, tea and alcohol. If still not better pl see a Urologist. Good luck.

It appears that you have some urge incontinence. If you don't have an inflamed or enlarged prostate & Dr. B's advice doesn't help you, the urologist may recommend medication to treat urge incontinence as it can be an embarrassing nuisance.
