A member asked:

I rubbed lots of clorox disinfectant on my skin to remove dirt. i failed to realize it should not be used on skin. i took a shower, my skin is slightly irrirated, but im more worried about it being absorbed into my body. will i be ok?

Good that you finally realized that the disinfectant shouldn’t be used on skin and took the shower. Amount of absorption would depend on both the amount of body surface area exposed and the amount of time of exposure. If you are very concerned, call poison control. Most likely, the skin irritation is the main problem you will have, but doesn’t hurt to ask.
