Symptoms of a folic acid deficiency are more likely to be along the lines of fatigue, weakness and weight loss. Your symptoms sound more like anxiety, but severe anemia could cause most of those symptoms too. Schedule a follow up with your doctor to discuss the results of your tests and consider further evaluation if the symptoms continue.

Agree with Dr. Madonna. Take vitamin B12, preferably sublingual form to ensure your not b12 deficient. Taking folic acid in the presence of B12 deficiency is harmful.
