How much karo syrup can an adult take for constipation?

While I use this in infants for constipation, I don't suggest it for adults. Kids don't absorb the majority of the complex sugars, so it works to draw along water. Adults absorb the sugars, so it is less a benefit & is stored as carbs or fat. Metamucil in its brand or generic form is a better adult/older kid agent. Directions are on the product.

You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
