Yes, if sperm bypass the infection, you could become pregnant. Success if trying may be less, however, I certainly would not consider it a passive form of birth control.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. If you are trying to get pregnant, it would be prudent to seek care for the infection. If you do not want to be pregnant, practice control all the time every time as you cannot rely on this infection to prevent pregnancy. Wish you good health!
