How do you help an irritated (healed) hypertrophic scar? i have a small one on my hand that is really red, itchy, and sensitive to touch whether it be fabric or skin. i have to wear vinyl gloves every day for work and i think its making it worse?

Consult a dermatologist who will evaluate the scar. Injections of a corticosteroid may be advised after his/her assessment. In the meantime you could try applying silicone gel according to instructions.
