I have been taking topiramate 25 mg for about 1 mo. i have almostall side effects...dizzy, chills, unsteady, pins and needles, uncontrolled bladder,prickling,10lbs wt loss diarrean,etc...want to quit this med how do i do this safely ? thank you?

Although the dose is small but medication should be tapered off slowly, not stopping abruptly. Furthermore, if you take it for seizure disorder, you need a different drug before tapering topiramate. I would suggest this tapered schedule: 1 tablet every other day for 4 days then one tablet every third day for 6 days then stop. Tablet should not be broken in half because of its bitter taste.
