I didn't take topamax (topiramate) for seizure. i took it for nerve damage. after stop taking for 10 days im dizzy & blurred sight.took for 7 yrs.is this normal?

Dizzy, blurred sight: It is not normal. However, for many patients it is difficult to quit taking topamax, (topiramate) because of the variety of the withdrawal symptoms. Dizziness and blurred sight are some of the withdrawal symptoms that you might experience for a while. Hope it helps.

Topamax (topiramate) side effects: Sometimes topamax (topiramate) may cause changes with the vision, but this is rare, and it occurs when it is used regularly. It should not be causing these symptoms now. Two common causes of your symptoms are increased blood pressure and increased blood sugar. I recommend you have those checked before you look for other causes. Hopefully you feel better soon!
