A member asked:

I take 50 mg metoprool succ in morning, 5 mg lisinpril in morning and 10 mg at night when going to bed. early moring high (170s/low 90s), late afternoon low below 100/60. is this a timing problem of when meds are taken?

Would need more information to give specific advice but that's a wild swing, and you should talk to your prescribing doctor about it. Metoprolol is a 12-hour drug so unless you're taking a sustained-release formulation it should be split to 25mgs twice/day. I'm guessing that early morning read is before you take the metoprolol. Big changes in your bp can do more harm than just high pressure alone
