The baby should be protected as much as possible from dust inhalation. Avoid dusty environments, keep windows closed, and your house clean. A HEPA filter unit is often effective in cleaning the air in a home. Baby saline drops and gentle suction is availablo over the counter. Watch for signs of an allergic reaction.or signs of infection. Keep immunizations updated.

It is possible if you stay in the endemic area. In the US, it is estimated that approximately 60 percent of all coccidioidal infections occur within Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima counties of Arizona, and 30 percent occur within Kern, Tulare, and San Luis Obispo counties of California. If your child can't avoid the dusty area, wearing a mask is probably the most effective way for avoiding this fungus.
