Touched someone's hand on accident when handing them a bag. they may have had a syphilis rash on their hand. this person is more than likely a drug addict/possible prostitute. would it be possible for me to catch syphilis this way? thanks?

Absolutely no risk at all. They call certain infections "sexually transmitted" for good reason: nonsexual personal contact does not transmit them.
